Lancer is a freelance platform designed to bridge the gap between skilled freelancers and individuals or businesses in need of their services. The idea stemmed from recognizing the increasing demand for flexible work arrangements and the growing pool of talented individuals seeking freelance opportunities. However, existing platforms often suffer from issues like lack of transparency, difficulty in finding suitable matches, and inadequate support for both freelancers and hirers.
Problems
Freelancers face challenges in effectively showcasing their skills, making it difficult to attract potential clients; hirers often struggle to identify the right freelancer amidst numerous options, leading to wasted time and resources; inadequate communication tools hinder collaboration, causing misunderstandings and delays; and payment security issues create mistrust, impacting the overall user experience.
Solutions
Lancer implements enhanced profile creation for freelancers, showcasing skills with portfolio uploads and endorsements. Advanced search and filtering assist hirers in finding ideal matches based on skills, experience, and budget. Integrated communication tools enable seamless collaboration via messaging, video conferencing, and project management features. An escrow payment system ensures security by holding funds until projects are completed, mitigating non-payment risks.
